from talking to Joe, he picks up traits of the actor and weaves them into
the character.

seems to have a real push-pull relationship with Bester...do you enjoy
playing that interaction as much as you seem to?

It's the love/hate relationship. Or the like/hate ... ;) or
the HAVE to PUT UP WITH/ hate relationship. ;) And Walter's quite
wonderful to work with

deal of fun rehearsing ... he's a great actor. Playing with each other
is fun -- figuratively!

about the relationship between Zack and Lyta, and how it's ended up?

is not consummated *laugh* ... umm it's a chancy one at best, um, I think
that Zack feels for her and her position she's in ... and also she's not
bad to look at.

knew Cluadia Christian from a previous show that you worked in together...what
was that show like and were you friends before Babylon 5?

"Berengers" together and as a matter of fact, she was the love interest
for my character in that show.

ON that show was a love interest for my character.

TNT Babylon 5 movie that will aire in July. 19th I believe.

called Tale of Two Sisters ... I just did a cameo in it, and I played a
cabdriver and the joke was she says Is your name Bobby?

living both your Grease fame and your B5 fame simultaneously?

been a part of a classic movie like Grease, and a classic TV Show like
TAxi. What I believe to be the classic SF show, Babylon 5 ... I feel
very blessed and it really is an actors dream to do work that lasts through
the ages.

about Grease being Re-released? Was it nice seeing all the other actors?

been a blast! It brings back a lot of fun memories and it's great
seeing everyone at the premiere. I didt get a chance to stay at the
party, because I was doing a film, that'll be coming ou ate this year

But it's been a good experience all around.

at how much the character of Zack has grown since his first appearance
in season 2, which was just basically a walk on, to where he is now, a
major character with depth and history?

it... I"m not so surprised, I mean I was surprised that the first week,
they asked me if I wanted to do more episodes. I gleefully said yes.

of the show, having a boyhood dream of being an astronaut, it was just
great.

character has been a wonderful experience in playing him and finding out
more about him as from episode to episode, and being given the freedom

fill in the #s with my acting talents, in ways that weren't thought of

on the set that you would have liked to work more with during the 5 years?

of my scenes were with Garibaldi, which I really love working with Jerry.
I think it'd be fun to have more interaction with Delenn and Lennier.

Peter were fun, I wold have liked to work more with Andreas.

hard to stay in shape or take karate for the fight scenes?
18:40:43 jeff_conaway {public msg} I try to get exercise
every day. Over the years, I took some tai chi, many years ago in
college and over the years through doing a lot of fight scenes

that stuff. Having been a dancer, I'm pretty agile and having been
a very angry kid

of fights... so of course I'd be an actor in shape!

acting, did you have specific goals/roles that you wanted to achieve?

broadway show "All the WAy Home" on my tenth birthday.
18:41:54 jeff_conaway {public msg} At that time, goals
... it was just great to have that role and to make money! It was
like playig in the lot, except it was a braodway stage.

studying and owrking I started to formulate what I wanted to do as an actor.
To be the best actor I could be. I still study to this day.

process, as life changes, style of acting changes ... I find it ver yinteresting
to keep up with them and develop my craft.

a backstory for Zack -- his childhood, what brought him to B5?
18:43:53 jeff_conaway {public msg} I've just kind of
formulated a backstory for Zack where he's doing better but he's the kind
of guy who ended up belting a superior officer one day cause he ws outta
line
18:44:11 jeff_conaway {public msg} and that got him
busted, wandered around not knowing what to do .. .and decided to go to
space and get away from it all.
18:44:29 jeff_conaway {public msg} Andtere he hapened
into Garibaldi, who had somewhat similar bakground as far as that is concerned
and he gave him a shot.
18:44:46 jeff_conaway {public msg} I think things happened
faster than Zack expected them to happen. He wasn't quite sure he
wanted that newfound responsibility

to disappear and find out who he was ... next thing he knows, he's Garibaldi's
righthand man.

was his favorite question!

chief, he was really confused about that ... he wasn't sure he wanted it.

pushed him there and it took him whle to come to grips

watching him develop his character and I've kind of eavesdropped on him
like a fly, watching him carefully ... watching his character develop

to do for rehearsals, watching his change into character, watching him
find stuff -- it's great!

you work in theatre. and do you still like to work on stage
18:49:58 jeff_conaway {public msg} I've never stopped
working in theatre, like last year I wnet back and did Grease again.
On Broadway. Every couple of years I end up going out and doing a
PLay or back to NY ... it's just something I enjoy ddoing.

... I find it's a hell of a lot of work! *laugh*

of SF fandom before you started on B5, and what do you think of it all?
18:51:26 jeff_conaway {public msg} Not to the extent
that ... I was a science fiction fan myself ... I was aware that there
were covetos and then ...

at them I was flabbergasted at the amount of fans and the interest they
show and the knowledge hey av f the show.
